How can I register for a course?
To register for a course, you need to contact us by email. We are always available to assist you with course information, provide registration support, and respond to your inquiries.
When can I access a course on your e-learning platform?
You will be provided access to your course on https://moodle.englishrealm.ca/ as soon as your payment is received, no later than 5 business days before the course start date.
If I pay for a course, will I be automatically enrolled in it?
You will only
receive an email confirmation of your payment. On the first day of the subsequent
month you will receive email from our administrator (admin@englishrealm.ca) with your course
login details which you will use to log in to your course on our e-learning platform.
How can I access my course on the e-learning platform?
Shortly
after your first contact with us you will receive a welcome email which
will include detailed information about your course start date. Each course
starts on the 1st day of the following month. Let’s say if you
register for a course on February 14th, your course will start on March
1st.
How can I access my course on the e-learning platform?
To access your
course on our e-learning platform you will use the username and
password emailed to you upon registration. On the course start date
you will see the course as soon as you log on to the e-learning platform.
Is there a standardized test to be admitted?
You will be
asked to take a Placement Test which will be used to determine your
English proficiency level. If you have taken TOEFL/IELTS recently, we will
consider your score when making placement decisions.
Will I need to provide a recommendation letter?
You do not
need a recommendation letter to register for a course, however if you think you
could qualify for Special Conditions, you will be asked to provide
copies of official documents as well as complete Statement of Financial Support
form.
Will I be expected to pay the entire cost up front?
It’s up to you
to decide whether you would like to pay your tuition for each course up front
or on a monthly basis.You will also need to pay PayPal fees for each
transaction.
What certificate is earned at the end of a course?
You will be
granted Certificate of Completion upon successful course completion or Certificate
of Excellence for outstanding performance. We also issue Certificate of
Participation on request.
How will I use my certificate?
In most cases,
you will not need a certificate to prove your proficiency in English. However,
you can use your certificate as proof of your commitment to personal growth.
How will I benefit from the courses?
Our courses
provide the necessary skills and vocabulary in English used in your chosen field,
preparing you to further your education in English as well as for effective communication
in English in your profession.
Will I have face-to-face meetings with a trainer?
For self-study
option, interaction between you and your trainer will be limited to course discussion
forums and email. If you are registered for trainer-led individual or group course,
you will also have weekly face-to-face (via Zoom/MS Teams) speaking sessions
with a trainer.
Do I have to keep up with weekly assignments in order to stay in the course?
It is highly
recommended that you complete your weekly assignments in a timely manner
throughout the course. If you find yourself lagging behind other participants
in a course, there is 2 weeks grace period for submitting assignments (past
their due date) before the course end date. If you fail to do so, you will only
receive Certificate of Participation.
How long will it take to complete a course?
Each course
can be reasonably completed within 6 months. However, if you withdraw from a
course halfway through it, then decide to join it later, we will not be able to
resume it for you, so you will have to start it over again.
How many courses will I be allowed to take at a time?
We have not
specified any limit on the number of online courses you can take
simultaneously. However, if you work full-time, we recommend that you take one
course at a time.
When can I start taking the courses for which I am registered?
You can start
taking the course for which you are registered on the first day of the
subsequent month, i.e., if you have paid for a course on February 14th,
your course start date is March 1st.
What can be done if I can’t start a course?
If for any
reason you cannot take the course when it starts, you must let us know by
email. In such circumstances, the course will be delayed by one month, or your
payment will be refunded.
Who can take these courses?
Regardless of where you live, you can take our courses if PayPal is available in your country.
Special Conditions
For eligible registered learners the fees for some of our courses can be lowered by up to 50%. High achieving learners who think they should be considered for this condition will be asked to provide copies of a few official documents. Such factors as the person’s status – a student, part-time employed or full-time employed, the country of residence at the time of course registration are taken into consideration when determining the amount they will pay for a course. A learner’s eligibility for special conditions will be in effect for 6 months.
